The Wrestling Observer reports that Vince McMahon is really high on NXT 2.0's Joe Gacy.

Dave Meltzer's write up claimed that McMahon wants to push Gacy's "woke" character to the forefront of the third brand's product. WWE had previously featured him extensively, but things had been toned down a little in recent months.

Now, it seems, Vince is keen to double down on Gacy's gimmick because he believes it'll score WWE some mainstream publicity that could be useful. Of course, the promotion would also have to be careful not to get the wrong kind of press, but maybe McMahon doesn't necessarily care about that.

WWE's 'all press is good press' mindset was once well-established. Perhaps it still is, in some respects.

Gacy presses buttons on social media whenever he opens his mouth, and that's something McMahon fancies leaning on again. The outspoken NXT man has become more of a manager for Harland than anything else lately. Don't be shocked if that changes soon.

Previously, Gacy had been leading a charge to change the 205 Live brand. It looks like those plans have been put on hold.
