One WWE newcomer started "needling" another wrestler, and it didn't end well!

What happens when a literal giant brawls with an ex-UFC fighter? Just ask Vince Russo.

The former WWE writer witnessed an epic tussle in catering between current AEW star Paul Wight and legit hard man Ken Shamrock back in 1999. It all started because the then-Big Show kept "needling" Shamrock about his "World's Most Dangerous Man" nickname.

Ken, as Russo explained on 'The Wrestling Outlaws' show, did not take kindly to that and even wanted the big man to stop. Show wouldn't quit though, and that led to fisticuffs. Or, more accurately, it led to Shamrock taking the giant down with his trademark ankle lock.

Yes, over lunch.

Russo couldn't believe what he was seeing, but does recall hearing Ken trying to calm things down before exploding. It was certainly bold of Big Show to start backstage trouble mere weeks/months into his run with the promotion - he'd jumped over to the WWF from WCW in February '99.

Show learned firsthand not to mess with Shamrock. Perhaps he should've thought of that before he was begging Ken to release his submission hold in this impromptu backstage brawl.
