Von Wagner "Suspended" On WWE NXT 2.0

WWE served - then unserved - a storyline suspension to Von Wager on last night's NXT 2.0.

WWE dished a storyline fine and suspension out to Von Wagner on last week's episode of NXT 2.0.

This followed the events of last week, when Wagner pulled a planted member of the "NXT Universe" out of the crowd and beat them up at ringside. The big man was then escorted out of the building, getting into it with Diamond Mine in the process, doing so while Roderick Strong was receiving medical treatment after his match with Carmelo Hayes.

Wagner's punishment was undone later in the evening, however. Not long after announcing the fine and suspension, Vic Joseph stated that a mysterious benefactor (potentially Robert Stone, who has been eyeing Wagner recently) had paid the fine and the suspension had been lifted.

There was no sign of Von on the show after this second announcement. WWE is yet to confirm when he will return to television, though next week seems likely.

Wagner has been one of WWE's most heavily pushed and promoted development prospects since NXT was rebooted into NXT 2.0 last September. Turning heel through his feud with the outgoing Kyle O'Reilly (which he won), it appears from his recent presentation that WWE has high hopes for him.
