Wade Barrett Injured For 3-4 Months, Misses WWE WrestleMania 28
Was scheduled to win the now scrapped Money in the Bank Ladder match at WrestleMania 28.
Wade Barrett has undergone surgery on his dislocated elbow this past week but the diagnosis is that the injury is far more severe than originally thought and the diagnosis is he could miss as much as three to four months of ring time. Therefore he has been ruled out of WWE WrestleMania 28, happening four weeks today from Miami, Florida on April 1st. Barrett's injury has caused major changes in the past week to the company's plans for WrestleMania 28. According to PWInsider.com, Barrett was due to be involved in a multi-man Money in the Bank ladder match and was scheduled to win the briefcase, earning him a shot at any title he pleased for one year. Though with Barrett's injury, that match has been scrapped and replaced by a multi-man tag match between a team of heels led by John Lauriniatis and a team of babyfaces led by Teddy Long. Many officials in the WWE were said not to be too keen on the Money in the Bank ladder match for WrestleMania in the first place as WWE have the MITB PPV to promote this summer.
