In a strange development, WWE has announced the postponement of WALTER Vs. Ilja Dragonuv II, or at least the second match they have worked together in the NXT UK promotion. WALTER has, per last night's episode of the show, suffered a "severe" injury to his left hand.

Despite building the match via in-ring press conference, a brawl broke out offscreen that led to the announcement later in the broadcast. Perhaps, in the event that this in fact a legit injury, it was only discovered on the day of filming, necessitating this curious handling of the situation.

No date has been set for the rematch of one of the very best contests worked during the empty arena phase of a COVID-19 pandemic that continues to rage across the globe.

It was a profoundly brutal war that almost worked better against the backdrop of silence; cracking one another extremely hard in (mostly) safe places, the reverberation of the violence put it over to a harrowing and super-dramatic extent.

It was a situational masterclass of a presentation, all of which renders this news all the more disappointing.
