As advertised during yesterday's Crown Jewel PLE, WWE is bringing back WarGames for this year's Survivor Series.

While no names have been announced as of yet, the WarGames announcement featured a video package that included both male and female talent, suggesting that we'll be getting two WarGames bouts later this month.

Given how Judgment Day so often play the numbers games each and every week, it may well be that they'll be going up against a team of babyfaces at Survivor Series. Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn are some of those who come to mind when thinking of who could oppose the Judgment Day. Likewise, we've recently seen a loose working arrangement between JD and the Bloodline, so maybe that could factor into this upcoming PLE.

As for the ladies of WWE, Damage CTRL - likely with the recently-returned Kairi Sane - seem like a logical group to have involved in the women's WarGames bout. Again though, this is all merely speculation from your writer.

This will be the second time that the WarGames concept has been used on the WWE main roster, with Triple H utilising this Dusty Rhodes creation at last year's Survivor Series. Prior to that, WarGames had been restricted to NXT dating back to 2017. Of course, the Match Beyond was first used in Jim Crockett Promotions back in 1987, and it would become a staple of the NWA and WCW.

Emanating from Chicago's Allstate Arena, this year's WWE Survivor Series takes place on 25 November.
