What Bret Hart Really Thinks About Steve Austin's WWE WrestleMania 38 Return
WWE icon Bret Hart shoots on 'Stone Cold' returning at WrestleMania 38.
WWE legend Bret Hart is "looking forward" to seeing old pal Steve Austin's comeback at WrestleMania 38 this weekend.
The 'Hitman' told Sports Illustrated that he's "proud" of Austin for having the "courage" to make a return at this stage in his life. Then, Bret revealed that he'll "be there to cheer him on" (it's unclear whether or not Hart meant he'd literally be in Texas for 'Mania, or if he means he'll be camped out in front of his TV at home).
Hart and 'Stone Cold' had back-to-back belters at both Survivor Series 1996 and WrestleMania 13 between 1996-1997. Together, the pair constructed an absolute classic at the latter, but younger fans who have yet to check out the Survivors bout should also fire that up on WWE Network/Peacock ASAP.
It's well worth everyone's time.
Austin is scheduled to appear opposite Kevin Owens as part of a 'KO Show' talking bit at this year's 'Mania. Originally, it seemed like Steve would be working his first match since 2003 on WWE's big weekender, but the company will have to wait for some proper in-ring Austin magic.
Bret is all for it.
