What Next For Velveteen Dream In WWE?

Is the Dream on his way out of NXT?

Velveteen Dream's NXT career may be at a crossroads after TakeOver: In Your House, but don't expect to see the human charisma machine changing WWE brands in the near future.

This is according to Dave Meltzer. Speaking on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, wrestling media's chief troll agitator stated that there are currently no plans to move Dream from NXT to Raw or SmackDown anytime soon. He will remain on the black and gold brand for the foreseeable future, despite reports linking him to what would traditionally be referred to as the "main roster" in the event of a TakeOver defeat.

Falling to NXT Champion Adam Cole in In Your House's Backlot Brawl means Velveteen can never challenge for the gold again while the Undisputed Era man is champion. Cole recently passed a full calendar year with the belt and is comfortably the longest-reigning NXT Champion ever, easily outdoing Finn Balor's 292 days on top.

Still only 24 years old, Dream has plenty of growth ahead of him and though his Undisputed Era war appears to be over, there should be a lot left for him to do on Wednesday nights.
