What The Rock Whispered To Cody Rhodes On WWE SmackDown

'The Great One' had a lot to say to Cody Rhodes in controversial SmackDown segment.

Wrestling has more than one royal family, and The Rock supposedly made that clear to Cody Rhodes during their private mid-ring moment together on Friday's SmackDown.

Introduced by 'The American Nightmare' before being given the ring and potentially his WrestleMania shot at Roman Reigns, 'The Great One' shook Rhodes' hand and pulled him in tight for a whispered conversation away from any available cameras and microphones.

Per Fightful Select on the content of the chat;

"We haven’t been able to find out what The Rock said to Cody Rhodes verbatim, but have learned it was something in reference to their fathers. We’ve long heard that The Rock and Cody maintained a great relationship for years."

It'll be interesting to see if that relationship stays the course after this jagged Road To WrestleMania.

The Rock returned to WWE on last Friday's SmackDown, ostensibly to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the 'Show Of Shows' after Cody Rhodes shockingly and now-infamously stepped aside. The WrestleMania 40 "Kickoff" press conference being held in Las Vegas on February 8th is expected to clear up a lot of the on-screen messes that have been made in recent days, but in the meantime chaos continues to reign.
