What They Did Next: WWE 2021 Releases - Part 2

14. Ruby Riot

Ruby Riot (and feel free to add another T to that if you only knew her from her main roster run) was brought into NXT to counter the psychotic Nikki Cross in group battles against the chaos that was Sanity. A quick rise through NXT saw her promoted to the main roster where she was unceremoniously dumped into a faction that was criminally overlooked for most of its existence.

The most surprising thing about Ruby's release was just how long she'd managed to hold on in a company that didn't understand her character before creative had nothing for her.

After leaving the company she spoke about how she would miss being Ruby Riott as WWE owned the name, but she chose the name from the Rancid song Ruby Soho. Lars Frederiksen of Rancid suggested that she just use Ruby Soho as a name and assured her he could clear the song as her entrance music. And so it was under this name that she next appeared at the All Out Casino Royale match last 5 September, which she won for a shot at Britt Baker's title.

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
