Johnny Gargano is not still injured, despite reports of this being the reason behind his continued WWE absence.

Boozer Rasslin' had reported on Monday that Gargano wasn't currently cleared to compete in WWE, potentially putting him out of action for next month's SummerSlam premium live event.

Since then, Fightful Select has confirmed that Gargano is not injured anymore, there is no word on his SummerSlam status, or that of WWE's planned DIY reunion.

Gargano and former DIY partner Tommaso Ciampa have been linked with a reunion since the latter's return to television a few weeks ago. Instead, Ciampa has found himself feuding with another ex-partner, The Miz, on Raw, while Gargano remains sidelined and out of action.

WWE had originally factored Gargano into creative plans for the 19 June episode of Raw, which took place in his Cleveland, Ohio hometown. Said plans ended up changing, with Johnny seemingly wiped from the show.

Gargano had been dealing with a shoulder issue earlier this year. As a result, he has not competed since an Intercontinental Championship contendership battle royal on 15 May. The ex-DIY man has now been "fine for quite some time," per Fightful.
