When Will AEW's TNT Title Belt Be Finished?
Cody provides an update on AEW's unfinished strap.
All Elite Wrestling TNT Champion Cody has claimed that his unfinished title belt will be in its final form by 12 August.
'The American Nightmare' tweeted the following on Tuesday evening:-
AEW's secondary singles championship was unveiled at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view in May, whether Cody defeated Lance Archer to close a multi-week tournament. The social media reaction wasn't positive. An ugly, unpolished strap was revealed by Mike Tyson, though the announcers were quick to clarify that the strap hadn't been finished yet, stating that the ongoing global health crisis had prevented gold plating from being added.
Fortunately, it looks like this will now be rectified within the next few weeks.
Cody's TNT Title defences have been a regular Dynamite highlight since the division came to life. Full-timers like Sonny Kiss, Marq Quen, and Jungle Boy have benefitted from wrestling 'The American Nightmare,' with the open challenge series now opening the door for independent wrestlers like Eddie Kingston and Warhorse, who meets Cody this coming Wednesday.
It'll be interesting to see what the finished TNT Championship looks like on 12 August, as the current design falls short of AEW's other belts.
