Where Is Deonna Purrazzo? "Picture In Picture, Probably..." (AEW News)

There was a lot of excitement surrounding Deonna Purrazzo when she signed on the dotted line to officially become part of the AEW roster in late-2023/early-2024. Purrazzo had appeared for the company back in 2022, but didn't ink a full-time contract until after that. Since then, she's been booked fairly sporadically as a top member of the group's female ranks.

Deonna responded to a fan's post on X before Wednesday's episode of AEW flagship show Dynamite, and it doesn't seem like she's too thrilled with the way Tony Khan has been utilising her skills. Or...not utilising her skills, as the case may be. The fan wanted to know if Purrazzo would be appearing on that night's show, but Deonna replied that if she was then it'd be "during picture in picture, probably".

This sarcastic response has got some people chatting online about Purrazzo's future prospects in AEW. The promotion regularly runs ads for other programming like Collision throughout pic-in-pic ad breaks mid-Dynamite, which is what Deonna was referring to - if she was going to show up, then it'd likely be via one of those packages running parallel with (silent) live action over on the left hand side of the screen and nothing more.

Eek!

Purrazzo Hasn't Wrestled On Dynamite Since February

Being fair to Purrazzo, she hasn't actually wrestled on core AEW television since losing to Harley Cameron on the 26 February edition of Dynamite. Since then, 'The Virtuosa' has been spotted on ROH programming (working matches vs. Ashley Vox and then Marti Belle), but Deonna doesn't appear to have a place on top tier shows like Dynamite or even really Collision these days.

Her last appearance on the latter show fell on 25 January. There, Purrazzo lost a four-way that also included Serena Deeb, Queen Aminata and Yuka Sakazaki. In total, she's made just three in-ring showings on AEW programming in 2025. The other was a loss to top star Toni Storm on the 4 January Collision.

It seems Deonna is long past frustrated with her standing in the All Elite pecking order. For context, she also quoted a fan account's picture of her with the caption: "Long time no see" on Wednesday evening too.
