Triple H revealed during a post-show media call that Michael Hayes turned down the chance to appear at NXT TakeOver: In Your House.

WWE tried their best to pull a light rib on Hayes by asking him to cut his cherished long locks and make a cameo showing as 'Handsome' Dok Hendrix on the show. According to Trips, Michael's response was rather "loud and intense" - he definitely wasn't up for shearing his hair twice in 25 years.

Instead, Johnny Gargano gave a framed promo pic of Hendrix a big thumbs up before his North American Title match with Keith Lee. That, to old school fans, was as it good as got. Some younger ones were probably wondering who the hell Gargano was acknowledging.

Wwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeell...it was the 'Handsome' former announcer.

Apparently, Hayes wasn't told about the Gargano spot ahead of time. He called Triple H during TakeOver to share a laugh about his unforeseen bit part at In Your House. 'The Game' got a good laugh out of pulling a fast one on Michael.

Surely he could've worn a wig at TakeOver and worked a crossover Hendrix/Badstreet gimmick?! Just kidding.
