Which WWE Star Suddenly Got Shorter?

No, it's not Shorty G. Work this one out...

WWE has officially changed 'King' Corbin's billed height from 6ft 8 inches to 6ft 6 inches.

The SmackDown man was billed as the latter throughout his pro football career in the NFL, but WWE decided to add on a few cheeky inches when he joined the company in 2012. Ever since then, the 'King' has been introduced with the kayfabe height - 6ft 8 inches.

So, what's the reason for WWE's change of heart?

It's difficult to know why the promotion would want to remove two inches from Corbin's billed height after eight long years of service. Some wisecrackers on social media have guessed that maybe WWE want to make him more relatable to 'King's Ransom' snatcher Shorty G.

They're joking, hopefully.

That's as good a guess as any, to be fair. Pro wrestling often embellishes the heights and weights of its stars so that they appear larger-than-life, and it doesn't make much logical sense to go back on that after close to a decade of pretence.

Yes, the change is small, but it's baffling for anybody who pays attention to the most minor of details.
