"Maybe I’m still riding high due to not having wrestled much in a while".

Sami Zayn has named his Intercontinental Title win over AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy at WWE's Clash Of Champions pay-per-view last Sunday as his "favourite match in about three-four years".

The new IC Champ (or defending, depending on your point of view/storyline allegiances) tweeted out that he was still "riding high" from the match, but couldn't see past it as one of the best televised efforts he's had in a long, long time.

No arguments here - the Triple Threat ladder bout was stunning and had one of the most inventive finishes in recent pro wrestling memory.

The three-way was Zayn's first pay-per-view showing since beating Daniel Bryan way back at WrestleMania 36. Since then, including the Clash one, he's only wrestled three matches. The others were a singles effort against AJ on the 18 September SmackDown, and a preview Triple Threat against Styles and Hardy on the 25 September episode.

It's great to know that Sami is feeling good about wrestling again. There were worries that he'd be leaving WWE during the pandemic, but he's back, has some singles gold again and looks motivated.
