Why AEW Squashed Jungle Boy At All Out 2022

Here's why Christian Cage and Jungle Boy didn't work a longer match at AEW All Out 2022.

Christian Cage's match with Jungle Boy lasted just 24 seconds at All Out 2022, with Luchasaurs' latest turn on Jack Perry softening the prodigy up for Cage, who put his rival or way with minimal fuss once the bell had rung.

There's a reason for this beyond the immediate appeal of shock-factor booking. Per PWInsider's Mike Johnson, the match's short length was because Christian is currently suffering from an arm injury, hence the large brace the veteran was wearing at the pay-per-view.

Whether or not Cage's injury will necessitate time off from active competition is currently unclear. Nonetheless, it doesn't sound like he was in the condition required to work a full bout on 4 September.

All Out was Cage's seventh AEW match of 2022 thus far. Prior to beating Jungle Boy, his last contest was a singles win over Matt Hardy on the 3 August Dynamite.

Luchasaurus' second heel turn of the year and the bout's one-sided nature means Cage and Jungle Boy's ongoing feud will almost certainly continue. They've been at war since mid-June, when Christian turned on Perry at the special Road Rager episode of Dynamite.
