AEW star Andrade El Idolo is still recovering from surgery, hence why he remains missing from company television, reports Fightful Select.

El Idolo hasn't competed since All Out 2022 last September, where he was part of a Casino Ladder match won by MJF, returning to AEW as 'The Devil'. Andrade then underwent surgery for a torn pectoral in November.

The 33-year-old is expected to be back in action by spring.

Pre-surgery, Andrade had become embroiled in backstage controversy after an alleged backstage fight with Sammy Guevara. It was reported at the time that El Idolo, not Guevara, was the aggressor in this, with Sammy making multiple attempts to not get involved in a scrap. Andrade reportedly threw a few punches before the fracas was broken up. Afterwards, he was pulled from a planned mask vs. career match against Dark Order's 10 scheduled for that week's episode of Rampage.

Poetically, with Andrade absent from television, 10 has since rebranded as Preston Vance, joining Rush and Jose the Assistant in El Idolo's La Faccion Ingobernable stable.

Andrade, 33, has been with AEW since June 2021, when he debuted alongside manager Vickie Guerrero.
