WWE legend Booker T blasts CM Punk's debut promo on Friday's AEW Rampage.

Booker T didn't hold anything back when dissecting CM Punk's AEW debut on his 'Hall Of Fame' podcast.

The multi-time World Champion said that countless fans would disagree with his opinions, which he's cool with, but he thinks Punk "struck out" when he referenced WWE on Rampage. Book instantly viewed the entire exercise as a "total miss" that ruined its own credibility by reopening old wounds.

That'll ruffle some feathers - Punk's AEW bow received rave reviews from all corners of the pro wrestling map. Booker said he was happy to see him launch a return, but he just cannot understand why Punk "missed a moment in front of his hometown crowd" by talking some WWE.

His cohost, Brad Gilmore, agreed with that. He then suggested that Punk's return was still "big". Booker didn't fight that point.

T "didn't feel the promo" the way he thought he would beforehand, and he doesn't think Punk should've wasted any breath talking about the past. Also, the free ice cream bars trick? Booker wasn't sweet on that either.

Basically, the legend just didn't believe Punk delivered what he should have.
