If you were wondering why Asuka has handled The Kabuki Warriors' build to WrestleMania 36 alone, Dave Meltzer has the answer.

Speaking on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Sane has been in Japan for an extended period of time after marrying her partner in February, with WWE officials working under the impression that she wouldn't be able to return in time for this year's expedited WrestleMania tapings.

The good news? She was able to get back in time for her scheduled match, meaning The Kabuki Warriors vs. Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss for the Women's Tag Team Championships went ahead as planned and will broadcast this weekend.

Sane last wrestled for WWE on the 9 March episode of Raw, where she and Asuka defeated Liv Morgan and Natalya. The duo haven't put their Women's Tag Team Titles on the line since overcoming Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair at TLC 2019 back in December.

Bliss and Cross vs. The Kabukis was confirmed on this week's episode of Raw. There's currently no word on whether it'll air on Saturday or Sunday, with WWE seemingly yet to decide on specific 'Mania lineups.
