Why Luke Harper Was "Set Free" By Wyatt Family On Last Night's RAW
Could a singles push be in the offing for Harper?
Last nights Monday Night Raw featured the continuation of some recent storylines -- most notably the ongoing feud between John Cena, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins. During the broadcast, a video package was aired that featured Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper of the Wyatt Family -- Erick Rowan was conspicuous by his absence. The short video was seemingly intended to put over Harper and plant the seed of a potential singles run. As usual, the enigmatic Bray Wyatt did most of the talking during this segment. However, Luke Harper actually spoke toward the end of the package. The video further featured the typically static editing of the Wyatt Familys earlier promos, as well as the familiar swamp-like setting. The so-called Eater of Worlds, Bray Wyatt, mentioned how he found Harper and that he had nothing but broken memories. After pondering, what do you give a man that has nothing, Bray claimed he provided Harper with a reason to exist and that he fixed him. Then, the man who has rarely spoken before began to talk. Luke Harper spoke of trying to piece back together with pieces of you. An off-putting threat to say the least. Bray Wyatt began to speak again and quickly dropped the bomb that he was setting Harper free. A seemingly clear indication that Harper is set to carve his own path in the world of WWE. Its unclear, however, whether he will remain at all tied to the Wyatt Family or truly be on his own. Its also possible the video was just the companys way of attempting to provide some further depth to Harpers character. Perhaps we could see a similar video package produced for Erick Rowan next week. However, that seems unlikely at this time. Instead, Luke Harper may be set for a noteworthy stint as a singles competitor. Do you think its a wise move for Luke Harper to compete on his own, or is the Wyatt Family member not ready for a push?
