R-Truth has become WWE's most entertaining midcard novelty act since the 24/7 Championship was brought to life on Raw's 20 May episode, with the 47-year-old already notching eight reigns with the belt as barely a week passes without him losing the strap before immediately winning it back.
He's an anomaly: a genuinely funny performer in a company that rarely does comedy well, and his fingerprints are all over the 24/7 division. Increased creative freedom is the reported reason for this, and now, it sounds like Vince McMahon's faith in Truth extends even further than this.
Per WrestlingNews.co, a WWE insider told that that "Vince loves Truth," adding that while everyone in the company is fond of him, "Vince really loves the guy because he is up for everything."
On top of this, McMahon "can often tell when someone is not into what they are doing because it's silly," but "you never see that with Ron, and Vince loves that. I think Ron will have a job for life here if he wants it."
The source also claims that the current 24/7 Title situation is "leading to something with Carmella," though they were unable to offer specifics.
