Why Shayna Baszler Destroyed EVERYONE At WWE Elimination Chamber 2020

Who was behind Shayna's dominant Chamber run?

Shayna Baszler ran through the field at WWE Elimination Chamber 2020, submitting every single main event opponent (Natalya, Sarah Logan, Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott, and Asuka) en route to claiming victory and punching her ticket for a WrestleMania 36 title shot against Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch.

Baszler winning was always the likeliest outcome - and that's exactly why WWE had 'The Queen of Spades' go on a dominant 5-0 spree inside the Chamber.

This is according to a new report from WrestlingNews.co's Paul Davis, who writes that everybody knew Baszler was going to take the W and end up facing Lynch, so WWE decided the best option was to present her as a full-on monster heel. It was all Paul Heyman's idea, as Raw's creative lead is "very high on Baszler."

Davis adds that Heyman actually wanted to do the same thing with CM Punk in the Elimination Chamber back in the day, though Vince McMahon shot the idea down.

Lynch and Baszler didn't come to blows on last night's Raw. Instead, their feud was developed only by Becky's show-opening in-ring promo, in which she touched on Baszler's fighting talk post-Chamber.
