Why The Revival Have Been Taken Off WWE Television

Here's why you haven't seen a whole lot of Dash and Dawson lately.

The Revival have all but vanished from WWE television in recent months - and Dave Meltzer appears to know the reason why.

Per Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson aren't being used on SmackDown at the moment because they haven't committed their future to WWE, having rejected multiple contract offers from the promotion in recent months.

This is also why the duo aren't involved in the upcoming Elimination Chamber match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

The Revival haven't worked a televised bout since the 31 January episode of SmackDown, with their last house show appearance going down on 9 February. It looks very much like the duo are on their way out. The long, speculation-filled saga of their WWE exit is nearing its conclusion, and they could be off to pastures new within the next couple of months.

It's thought that Dawson's WWE contract expires sometime in March or April. Wilder, meanwhile, will have to wait a two months longer, having had time added to his deal after suffering a jaw injury in 2017. The duo famously asked for their release while still wearing their wrestling gear in January 2019.
