A scheduled match pitting The New Day's Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods against Ridge Holland and Sheamus was pulled from last night's first WrestleMania 38 show.

Originally planned to take place between Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair and the KO Show segment featuring 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin (per Fightful Select) that closed the night, the match ended up being pulled. This was due to time constraints.

In a backstage update, Fightful state that a number of 'Mania 38's matches ran long, leading to the decision to cut The New Day vs. Holland and Sheamus from the lineup. Theoretically, it should have been easy for WWE to switch the match to night two, though whether or not this would actually happen wasn't clear at the time.

Sheamus tweeted the following during the broadcast itself:-

WWE, meanwhile, now confirmed that the postponed bout will indeed take place as part of WrestleMania 38's second half tonight.

Although the match didn't air on night one, WWE did show a hype video for the contest - including footage of the broken neck that New Day man Big E recently suffered when taking a Holland belly-to-belly suplex.
