Why This WWE Raw Wrestler Went Missing This Week

Real reason WWE pulled the plug on this Raw appearance on Monday.

WWE pulled the plug on an appearance from Lacey Evans on this week's episode of Raw, despite previously advertising the recent returnee's in-ring comeback for the show.

PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that this was a product of WWE making alternative plans for the former Raw Women's Championship contender. Rather than having her feature on Raw, the market leaders opted instead to send Evans to the Coca-Cola 600 race in Charlotte, North Carolina on Sunday.

WWE has uploaded footage of Lacey signalling the start of the race:-

Evans herself hit Twitter to post shots of her at the Coca-Cola 600, where she served as grand marshall:-

WWE had not gone as far as naming an opponent for Evans on this week's episode of Raw prior to pulling her. Given the circumstances, it may have been a straightforward squash match.

Lacey's last match for the promotion came on Raw's 15 February 2021 episode, where she teamed with Peyton Royce to face Asuka and Charlotte Flair. The former marine took time away from wrestling ahead of the birth of her second daughter shortly after this, not returning until April 2022.
