Why WWE Changed Keith Lee's Entrance Theme On RAW

Keith Lee jumped from WWE NXT to RAW this week. Having dropped the NXT Championship to Karrion Kross at TakeOver XXX last weekend, 'The Limitless One' was first advertised for the red brand at SummerSlam 2020, then debuted in a confrontation with Randy Orton.

This led to a match with 'The Legend Killer' that ended in a no-contest, setting them up for a PayBack rematch this Sunday. Not the worst way to debut a newcomer, admittedly, though changes to Lee's aesthetic sparked controversy online - particularly when it came to his entrance music.

Dropping Keith's heavy trap banger for generic butt-rock drew a largely critical response. Now, Fightful Select have come through with the reason behind the move, stating that WWE has been attempting to convince wrestlers to ditch any themes composed by CFO$, who no longer work with the promotion. It is said that CFO$ signed a "terrible deal" that grants their publishers 50% of any royalty payments, hence the change.

Fightful's report also states that other wrestlers have turned down the chance to get rid of their CFO$ themes as they hate the suggested replacements so much. Lee, however, was willing to go with his.
