Why WWE Pulled Ember Moon From Last Night's NXT
Dakota Kai replaced Moon in her planned match with Sarray.
News that Ember Moon had been pulled from last night's WWE NXT show broke before the broadcast, with Dakota Kai replacing the former Women's Champion in her match with newcomer Sarray.
This is because Moon was not cleared to compete. Fightful Select's sources have indicated as much, though there's currently no word on why.
Moon released the following comment in response to the match being changed, stating she has had "an extremely rough month":-
.@wwenxt This has been an extremely rough month, I am angry and gutted! I was really looking forward to this match and getting back on track but just got another pothole in the road. I'm sorry! https://t.co/ZcX0hPqII2

When Ember will be able to return is a mystery. She last wrestled on the 13 July episode of NXT, falling to Dakota Kai in a singles match.
Moon has spent most of her year teaming with Shotzi Blackheart on Tuesday nights, with the duo becoming NXT Women's Tag Team Champions on the belts' first night of existence back in March. This union effectively came to an end on 9 July, however, when Shotzi left NXT behind to debut on SmackDown as part of a new team with Tegan Nox.
Now entering her sixth year under WWE employ, Moon has been back in NXT since October 2020, when she returned from a two-year main roster stint at TakeOver 31.
