AEW boss Tony Khan is refusing to rule out thoughts that Mick Foley could wrestle for the company someday. However, Khan also told those tuning into a media call set up to promote this weekend's Double Or Nothing 2026 pay-per-view that the ball is very much in Mick's court in regards to actively working matches.

Tony is simply thrilled to have Foley onboard to co-host the DoN 'Buy In' with Renee Paquette. The pair are good friends away from the cameras, and they were previously peers in WWE as well. That should lead to some good chemistry on-screen before All Elite's next PPV airs.

During his address, Khan said: "I cannot wait to see Cactus Jack back on TBS". That's a fair point, one which shows just how much of a wrestling historian the All Elite chief is. Foley hasn't been on the station since his WCW days in the early-1990s, so it could be a personal thrill for Mick to return to some old stomping grounds.

Kind of.

Speaking of the notion that Foley could wrestle for AEW, Khan said this: "I also don't wanna put him in a situation in which he'll be uncomfortable". Tony went on to talk about some of the "big hits" Mick has taken throughout his career (such as the iconic Hell In A Cell bout vs. The Undertaker at King Of The Ring 1998), and spoke of the "physical demand" that wrestling again could have on the legend.

It's worth saying that a Foley vs. MJF match has been discussed since 2024.
