WWE are still to confirm any names for the 2017 Hall of Fame class, but it's expected that Diamond Dallas Page and "Ravishing" Rick Rude will be the first through the door. Both were reported by a variety of news sources last week, and the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer has now leaked a fresh set of potential inductees.

Current NXT General Manager William Regal and Christian, WWE's 12th Grand Slam Champion, top the list. Also included are former WWE Tag Team Champions The Natural Disasters (Earthquake & Typhoon), and Mike Rotunda, better known as Irwin R. Schyster.

WWE are yet to confirm this year's headliner, but the class of 2017 is already looking healthy. Each name has held WWE gold in the past, and Regal would break WWE's tradition of not inducting currently active television performers.

Aside from being NXT's GM, Regal plays a vital role behind the scenes with WWE, and has been particularly prominent throughout their recent United Kingdom expansion. Christian quietly retired from the ring in 2014, but was most recently seen on the WWE Network's Edge & Christian Show. Rotunda, Earthquake, and Typhoon, meanwhile, have six WWE Tag Team Title reigns between them.

This year's Hall of Fame ceremony takes place at the Amway Center, Orlando on Saturday, April 1st.
