William Regal To Make Major Announcement On Next Week's WWE NXT

NXT General Manager to "change the landscape" with next week's huge announcement.

NXT General Manager William Regal has promised to "change the landscape" of the Wednesday night brand with a big announcement on next week's show, making the proclamation on yesterday's episode.

This comes following a screwy finish in last night's Women's Tag Team Title match pitting Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler against Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez.

Referee Aja Smith was knocked down as Gonzalez attempted a big boot, leading to the main roster's Adam Pearce storming out from the back with Raw official Shawn Bennett. This went down as Baszler had Kai locked in a Kirifuda Clutch. Kai wasn't the legal wrestler but tapped out in Shayna's finisher, leading to Bennett calling for the bell.

Kayfabe-wise, this felt like Pearce was taking steps to ensure the Women's Tag Team Titles stayed on the main roster rather than going down to NXT. Gonzalez and Kai had won their shot by winning the first ever Dusty Rhodes Women's Tag Team Classic last month but there's currently no word on whether or not they'll get a rematch.

Regal's announcement will likely relate to the above.
