William Regal's son, Bailey Matthews, has signed with WWE.

Matthews was named in the WWE.com article officially announcing Meiko Satomura's signing to NXT UK. Metehan Kocabasoglu, better known as wXw's Lucky Kid, and Tony Gill, who competed as Gursdinder Singh in Impact Wrestling, have also been brought in.

The WWE writeup doesn't specifically mention that Matthews is Regal's son, listing the current NXT General Manager only as one of Bailey's influences.

Matthews used to compete as Joe Bailey. He was training as a Young Lion with New Japan Pro Wrestling last year, having been spotted at ringside during Wrestle Kingdom 14. A wrestler since 2018, he has previously appeared for groups like EVOLVE and PROGRESS, both of which have been affiliated with WWE for several years now (the former was bought out by the market leaders last year).

There's currently no word on when Matthews, Kocabasoglu, and Gill will be brought onto television, though player-coach Satomura is already targeting a shot at Kay Lee Ray's NXT UK Women's Championship. Meiko appeared via video package and promo on yesterday's show, confirming she is on her way to WWE's British imprint.
