Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell of The Way are your new WWE NXT Women's Tag Team Champions, defeating Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart to take the belts on last night's show.

The bout went down in the main event. A wild Street Fight, it was full of weapons sports and plunder, and saw Blackheart leap off a ledge and through a table, culminating with LeRae scoring the pinfall after hitting Wicked Stepsister to Shotzi on a chair.

Hartwell had neutralised Moon on the outside, driving her through a table with a springboard elbow drop. LeRae was then free to finish Blackheart off.

This is the first time either member of The Way has held gold in WWE. Candice has fought for the NXT Women's Championship several times, falling short on each occasion, but she and Hartwell now have a set of belts to complement Johnny Gargano's North American Championship in their stable.

The NXT Women's Tag Team Titles have been passed around like hot potatoes since coming into existence in March. Original champions Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez were dethroned by Moon and Blackheart on night one of their reign, while the Shotzi/Ember run lasted only 55 days.
