WrestleMania 36 Night 1 Ends With Batsh*t Insane 'Boneyard Match'

Phenomenally entertaining.

If you want to see The Undertaker dare to Chokeslam poor AJ Styles of a f*cking barn, then WrestleMania 36's 'Boneyard Match' is for you.

The entire brawl played out like an extended mix of scenes from 'American Horror Story' and WWE 2K20 (without the glitches). It had a little bit of everything - 'Taker rode in to the strains of Metallica's 'Now That We're Dead', AJ called him a "big, dead bitch" and everyone bumped and bled like they were hanging up their boots afterwards.

Maybe everyone is. Who knows at this point.

This was, by quite some margin, the most over-the-top thing WWE has tried in a while. When their backs were up against the wall and a portion of doubters rubbished 'Mania 36 online before it happened, they came up trumps with a skit so ludicrous it's unmissable.

As silly as the 'Boneyard' main event was, you'd be a fool to skip it. Seriously, this was early-90's WCW mini-movie goodness, and it had the right amount of camera trickery to make it feel slightly less ham-fisted than those too.

WrestleMania's second evening has a lot to live up to.
