Wrestling Legend "Absolutely Would" Work Final Match In AEW

Someone on AEW's roster is trying to talk this legend into doing a Sting!

Lance Archer filled in for Jake Roberts on the wrestling legend's podcast this week, and revealed to listeners that he's currently trying to sell Jake on one last match in AEW.

According to Archer, Roberts "absolutely would" agree to step foot inside the ring one more time "if and when he was asked". That suggests the WWE great wouldn't pitch a bout himself. Lance reckons Jake should take inspiration from Sting's recent retirement at Revolution and agree to wrestle a tag-team match in the near future.

He's putting himself forward as a partner vs. The Young Bucks.

Fans will point out that there's a vast difference between Roberts and Sting in 2024. The Stinger might not have been capable of working classics by the end, but he could still move around freely and please his fanbase. Putting Jake in the ring, even in a tag scenario with various bells and whistles, would be a huge risk.

Archer wants to see it happen, but admitted "it's just one of those fantasy things".

If AEW ever books this, then it'd mark Jake's first active wrestling match since working on an independent card in September 2018.
