Wrestling Season Of Power Slap In The Works, Multiple Indie Talents Contacted (WWE News)
Long list of wrestlers reportedly set to take part in special season of the controversial Power Slap

A professional wrestling-themed season of Power Slap is officially in the works.
This is according to Fightful Select, who provided information on the host of independent wrestlers have been contacted over the past month about participating in a special edition of Dana White’s controversial slap-fighting competition. Recruitment efforts for the crossover show have been led by former WWE talent Sinn "Kizarny" Bodhi.
The outlet provided an extensive list of names, including Cassanova Valentine, MechaWolf, Juicy Finau, Stunt Marshall, Mazzarati, Facade, HollyHood Haley J, Alice Crowley, Christi Jaynes, Marty the Moth, Bruno El Oso Blanco, The Suavectios, and Dani Mo. Per the reporting, wrestlers have praised the pay as being well above typical indie rates, though have raised concerns over potential for concussions - a frequent and obvious criticism of the show - as well as the potential issues balancing existing bookings with the show’s filming schedule. UFC President Dana White was said to be meeting with talent and pushing efforts to build hype for the project. Some participants were reportedly encouraged to use social media to stir interest ahead of an official announcement.
The report also added that; "there are events tied to this that are supposed to carry over into International Fight Week, as well as a future Saudi event, based on what the talent associated were told."
Power Slap was launched in early 2023 by UFC President Dana White, in partnership with UFC executives Lorenzo Fertitta and Craig Piligian, and is licensed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. It airs under the TBS and Rumble platforms, and is promoted similarly to MMA, complete with rankings, weight classes, and behind-the-scenes reality-style content. Despite health concerns and backlash from medical professionals and fans alike, Power Slap continues to receive backing from the TKO/UFC machine, with this latest crossover potentially set to expand and extend its growth.
