WWE: 10 Forgotten Superstars That Should Have Won Gold

5. Hakushi

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UReHrmZTy28 Better known by his WWE moniker Hakushi, Jinsei Shinzaki was a spectacular performer that WWE discovered on a tour of Japan in 1994. At the time Shinzaki was working for the small independent Michinoku Pro company which would also provide WWE with Taka Michinoku and Sho Funaki in later years and enthralled audiences in Japan with his athleticism and unique look. Upon joining the WWE in 1995 Shinzaki became embroiled in a stunning technically magnificent programme with Bret Hart that yielded an excellent pay per view encounter at the first In Your House show. Sadly, after his feud with Bret ended WWE struggled to know what to do with the popular Hakushi. A jaw dropping series with the 1-2-3 Kid and a compelling mini feud with Chris Candido could not enable Hakushi to break out of the mid card pack despite his best efforts and he quietly left the WWE in 1996 following a short programme with the recently signed John Bradshaw Layfield. Whilst many may have forgotten the brief stint of Jinsei Shinzaki with the WWE it remains one of the biggest missed opportunities in the history of the organisation that they were unable or unwilling to capitalise on the undeniable popularity of the Japanese high flyer with an intercontinental title run which would surely have been a blockbuster.
