WWE: 10 Great Things Missing From WrestleMania 30

10. No Compelling Tag Title Match

The past couple years, WWE has taken the tag division more seriously than they have in some time. We've had The Shield, The Brotherhood, and The Wyatt Family in some great matches with some actual storylines to back them. It sure beats watching Vladamir Kozlov and Santino as the Tag Team Champions. But despite the increased interest in the division, the company is still stuck in place when it comes to developing an intriguing WrestleMania tag team match. This year we're stuck with The Usos battling The Real Americans, RybAxel and Los Matadores. First off, The Usos won the Tag Titles from the transitional team The New Age Outlaws. With the Real Americans, fans are digging Cesaro, but ever since the group formed, they've been completely mis-managed. They've rarely been positioned as a threat, and have only been used as a stepping stone for other tag teams on their way to winning the titles. Meanwhile, RybAxel is one of the least interesting tag teams assembled by WWE in some time. Ryback and Curtis Axel have no chemistry together. Though to be fair, Axel hasn't shown any chemistry with anyone to this point. And Los Matadores have completely flopped as an act, and it's almost shocking that they're included. It's not every year we get a classic tag team title match, but we have been given a few. The British Bulldogs winning the gold from The Dream Team at WrestleMania 2 was the best match on the show. WrestleMania VI gave us the spectacle of Demolition vs. The Colossal Connection, and WrestleMania X-seven gave us the classic Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match with The Hardy Boyz vs. Edge and Christian vs. The Dudley Boyz. If the idea of RybAxel and Los Matadores in a tag title match at WrestleMania is enough to get you to buy the show, you're probably related to one of the members, or just have an incredibly low threshold for entertainment.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
