WWE: 10 Most Irrelevant Big Name Wrestlers Right Now

9. Cody Rhodes/Goldust

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scgtiUlKhiU WrestleMania XXIX match: N/A Past year PPV highlights: (Cody) Lost Money in the Bank ladder match to Damien Sandow at MITB; Beat the Shield to get their jobs back at Battleground; Defended Tag Team titles at two PPVs; Lost Tag Team titles to New Age Outlaws at Royal Rumble The past year has been topsy-turvy for the Rhodes brothers. Cody was mired in a tag team that never reached its true potential with Damien Sandow, while Goldust wasn't even on the roster to start. Cody got a shot in the arm when Sandow knocked him off the ladder to claim the briefcase during what seemed to be a show-stealing, coming-out party at Money in the Bank. After that, it was a high-profile couple months with the Rhodes family battling The Authority and having to go through the Shield to get their jobs back. They were rewarded with the tag titles. Since losing the belts at the Rumble, Cody and Goldust remain fairly visible in WWE (moreso that some superstars), but as former tag champs who have put on clinics for the past six months, it's frustrating to see them reduced to wrestling Fandango in one-off matches as WrestleMania approaches. Even with a four-way Tag Team title match, there doesn't appear to be room for CoDust.
