5. Bill Goldberg

Bill Goldberg was one of WCW's most popular wrestlers when he co-starred in 1999's Universal Soldier: The Return. Unfortunately, the action movie was the last in a series of several U.S. theatrical bombs for star Jean-Claude Van Damme, who wouldn't appear in another wide release movie in the U.S. until 2012's The Expendables 2. Meanwhile, Goldberg had even worse luck because he followed Universal Soldier: The Return with WCW's box office bomb Ready to Rumble, the 2003 flop Looney Tunes: Back in Action, 2005's Santa's Slay, 2007's direct-to-video Half Past Dead 2 and a small part in 2010's Kill Speed. He also appeared in the hilariously inaccurate made-for-TV biopic of Jesse Ventura. Goldberg had a small role alongside other wrestlers in 2005's The Longest Yard, which is the only film that he has been in that was a hit. Aside from a few other minor roles on television (like "Angry Bus Passenger" on Family Guy and "Inmate" on Desperate Housewives), Goldberg has found much more success simply being himself on shows like Bullrun and Celebrity Apprentice. He should probably just stick with that.
