Another development to come from Raw was the long-awaited return of Rob Van Dam. Mr. Monday Night had the usual spring in his evergreen step, as he picked a straightforward victory over Damien Sandow. Given his history with ECW, RVD must be utilised on the way to Extreme Rules. This is the domain in which he truly made his name, and thus it would be foolish not to make the most of this vast talent. Some sort of match involving a ladder may be best, but at the moment it looks unlikely that he'll be in with a shout at a title of some sort. However he's booked though, the WWE should get round to arranging it soon. The opportunity to work with a hardcore legend such as Van Dam €“ in an Extreme Rules environment of course €“ would be a great experience for an up-and-coming talent, whilst it would be a fantastic throwback to the older audience.
