13. Bret 'Hitman' Hart Vs Rowdy Roddy Piper - Wrestlemania VIII
Wrestlemania 8 was one of the bloodiest Wrestlemania's ever as both Bret Hart and Ric Flair 'saw red' during their respective matches. As a child I couldn't believe how badly Rowdy Roddy Piper beat down his supposed best friend Bret Hart as they went to war over the Intercontinental Championship back in the days when the title actually meant something. This match was not only a stepping stone to bigger and better things for Bret it also allowed 'The Hot Rod' to prove to his peers he could hang with a younger more athletic Superstar than himself and not have to spend the whole match acting like a mega heel, which is how he had always been perceived at past Wrestlemania's. Hats off to Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan on commentary too. Some great work throughout.
