The idea for this article came to mind when watching the WWE title "bumper" that appears at the beginning of each program. Images of myriad wrestling personalities flash in quick succession, giving you a taste of WWE's past, present, and future. Being WrestleMania season, I wondered if there was just one iconic moment from each Mania that embodied that event for me. You'll notice that the title is "My" Iconic Moments; I arbitrarily decided to choose one moment from each WrestleMania, just to make it a bit challenging. For some WrestleManias, choosing just one moment was difficult, as there were so many memorable scenes that I can vividly call to mind, even years later. For other WrestleManias, choosing even one iconic moment was difficult, because none really stood out. That's why my made-up rule of one-per-Mania was a fun challenge. I hope to shed insight into why I chose each moment, especially for those that might be a little off the beaten path. Some moments are SO iconic that their meanings go beyond WrestleMania and have become intrinsic to pro wrestling mythology. I didn't choose those because they were obvious, but because they still hold meaning for me. I am excited to read everyone's thoughts on these moments, but even more curious about which moments are iconic to YOU.
