IGN has been covering the upcoming WWE 2K15 video game throughout the entire month of August. WWE 2K15 is to be the first wrestling game on next-gen systems -- PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The little information that has already been released has fans of the series chomping at the bit. IGN sat down with 2K15s Executive Producer, Mark Little on August 21st in order to get answers for some of the burning questions fans have. While Mark was a bit mum about many of the details, he did give some general information for fans of the series to look forward to. To start with, Little confirmed that the much anticipated Showcase mode will be available on both last-gen and next-gen systems. The mode will be playable for anyone who purchases the game, no matter what gaming platform they own. However, as previously stated, the My Career mode -- which sees players create a superstar and take him through the ranks of WWE, starting in NXT and ending at the Hall of Fame -- is exclusive to the PS4 and Xbox One. Showcase mode, however, will be a slick presentation of classic feuds from the world of WWE, featuring historic matches and moments, as well as authentic documentary-like video packages. John Cenas feud with CM Punk and the Triple H/Shawn Michaels feud will be included from the outset. Little also confirmed that an extensive number of new animations were recorded this year. Forty days were spent recording the animations at 2Ks state-of-the-art motion capture facility, and the game now features five times the animations as the previous incarnation. Furthermore, Little spoke of general improvements to not only the games animations but also to its graphics, presentation, and gameplay -- specific details were not given. Every year, a much anticipated feature of the WWE series is its Creation Suite. This mode has previously allowed players to create not only original superstars and Divas, but also let them design and build their own championships, arenas, moves, and superstar entrances. While Little did not provide exact details on the improvement of the Creation Suite, he did note that 2K definitely some new surprises for the community on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and we will be sharing those with everyone in the weeks leading up to the launch of WWE 2K15." WWE 2K15 is sure to be a massive release from 2K Games. Anticipation and excitement continues to build as more details are released.
