WWE's Twitter account announced the addition a new match to the No Mercy kickoff show on Sunday afternoon. American Alpha (Chad Gable and Jason Jordan) and The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley) will team up to take on The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) and The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) in eight-man action.

The bout comes after a Smackdown that was clearly designed to add some depth to the blue brand's shallow tag team division. On the show, The Vaudevillains took on The Hype Bros in a tag team bout that saw The Ascension come out to the entrance stage to scout the competition. Eventually, The Hype Bros scored the victory when Ryder pinned English after The Hype Ryder. Also on the show, Jason Jordan defeated Jey Uso in a singles match designed to further the feud between American Alpha and The Usos.

Given that Becky Lynch will miss No Mercy (a fact WWE has yet to announce), the PPV's final card may undergo some restructuring. There's no word yet on if the bout previously scheduled for the kickoff, Baron Corbin vs. Jack Swagger, will stay there or be moved to the PPV proper.

No Mercy's kickoff show airs on the WWE Network tonight at 7:00 PM ET.
