WWE: 4 Reason's I'm Already Hating John Cena Again

John Cena Wwe 1 week...as of writing this article John Cena has been back 1 week and already I am finding myself experiencing an emotion I try with all my strength to avoid. Hate...I already hate John Cena. I know it is cliche to b*tch about the man who has produced more shirts than Nike but it is the fact that he has made me feel so negatively in such a short space of time that means I have to write about it to relax. Words are my marijuana and WhatCulture is my lighter. Breath in the second hand smoke that is this article and be medicated against the cancer that is John Cena. Ugh I wish I was cool enough to believe in my own metaphors. Anyways here's why John Cena is a pain in the ass etc etc.

4. Receives A Title Shot Without Earning It

I am currently in the process of writing a long winded (but entertaining of course) article about why I am sincerely hoping The Rock/Dwayne Johnson/Generic Action Movie Star does not return to the WWE again and one of the reasons also relates to why I already re-hate John Cena, and that is the idea of entitlement. One of the great things about the WWE is the multitude of ways one can earn a title shot. Whether it be the Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank, Beat the Clock etc etc, there are numerous and varying ways one can be considered for a title shot and it certainly adds to the build up and credibility of any consequential match. What completely devalues all of the above methods is when someone is given a title shot for absolutely reason whatsoever. Sometimes we see tag teams or divas given opportunities despite having a greater loss to win ratio and it makes no sense whatsoever. Other times, such as with John Cena, he is given a title shot as his first match back from a very short time off for injury. It is annoying because whilst others scratch and claw their way towards one singular opportunity which in the end often turns out to be their only opportunity, you find yourself knowing that John Cena was given this match simply because he is John Cena. I can never quite understand why the WWE thinks we as fans are ready to suspend logic simply because of a superstars stature. When Vicky Guerrero made the announcement I, like many I'm sure, first conveyed a sense of shock at Cena's premature return before focussing solely on the lack of reasoning provided as to why he was being given a match for supposedly the second biggest title in the company. When title shots are so freely given, it damages the prestige of the belt more so than unfortunately it already has been, regardless even of if you are John Cena.
