WWE: 5 Candidates For Hall of Fame Celebrity Wing

4. Mr T

Mr T Like Motörhead, Mr T performed in two separate WrestleMania events during his short-lived professional wrestling career. At WrestleMania I, he tagged with Hulk Hogan in a winning effort against "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff (Muhammad Ali and Pat Patterson also served as special guest referees). The following year, he faced Piper again in a gimmick boxing match, winning by disqualification. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8p88I9yBQU Throughout the 1980s and 90s, Mr T made sporadic appearances in the WWF/E and other promotions. In 1987, he became a referee and enforcer with WWF, before making a brief appearance in World Class Championship Wrestling as Kerry Von Erich€™s manager in 1989. He returned once again as a special guest referee at WCW€™s Halloween Havoc 1994 in a match between Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. Later that year he wrestled against Kevin Sullivan at Starrcade in a squash match, winning by pinfall. Given these credentials, Mr T is a likely candidate for a future celebrity Hall of Fame spot. Aside from being a state-level amateur wrestler in high school, his professional contributions are certainly equal to that of Mike Tyson, who was inducted only last year.
