WWE: 6 Intriguing Questions Following Summerslam
1. Are We Seeing Evolution Mark II Or A New Corporate Champion? Evolution was a great stable for WWE in the long term. While they dominated the scene for a while similar to the way the NWO did, they also recongnised that their interests needed to conincide to the company's interests if it was not going to be seen as just the selfish venture of a couple of workers. The careers of Batista and Randy Orton were made through this stable and Ric Flair got a chance to re-legitimise himself to a whole new audience. So, with Triple H seeming to emphasise the idea of pushing young talent at the moment, is it too difficult to concieve that this may be another Evolution stable? Triple H would take the role that Flair had in the first incarnation- that of mentor and grizzled veteran, Orton would be the main star of the group- the World Champion. That would leave two spots to fill- the young prodigy (what Orton was in Evolution the first time) and an enforcer (what Batista was). Wade Barrett seems in a good position to fill the latter as he has been embroiled in this story for a while now and has issues with Daniel Bryan. As for the former...that's more difficult. Possibly one of WWE's high profile NXT guys? In any case Summerslam has left the WWE universe with plenty to think about. I hope the WWE don't disappoint.
