WWE: 7 Ways To Get People To Cheer For John Cena At WrestleMania 30

1. Bring Back That Knee Injury

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEtaWLZ-PPk Remember that knee injury that Cena was selling at the start of this feud? The Wyatt Family attacked him on Raw, Rowan grabbed his leg and he went down grabbing it. Where did the injury go? It magically disappeared. It was a good idea to do it too. They were stupid to get rid of it because the injury made Cena a sympathetic guy. If Cena walked into the WrestleMania match with a pronounced limp and won the match his haters may hate him more than ever, but most fans with common sense would admire him for working through an injury. A lot of people thought the injury was real when it happened, myself included. That showed that Cena isn't that bad of an actor. He could sell that injury. Why did they get rid of it? It's hard to know why. An injury going into a match can help tell an interesting story, so for them just to change their mind a month later is a bit odd. They likely figured out what finish they wanted to do and realized the injury wouldn't help the match the way they had originally thought. The reason for the injury was to get fans to cheer Cena more. They know that at WrestleMania it's difficult to get the fans behind the Cenation leader. Maybe if those same critical fans saw him working a 20 minute match with a knee injury they would come around on him. That was the whole point of the injury in the first place. To just ignore it is silly on WWE's part. Whether the fans cheer or boo Cena, the pressure will be on him as he tries to have the best match possible with a newer performer like Wyatt. It could be great. The crowd reaction? That's an unknown and makes this match that much more fun.
