WWE: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (March 9th)

4. Giving Away Batista vs. Bryan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoEqx9XT4Qs Try to think of all the dream matches left in WWE. Most of them probably revolve around The Undertaker in some form. Undertaker vs. John Cena, or Taker vs. Sting or against Bray Wyatt. He has plenty of intriguing opponents left mainly because of how rare his appearances are. While Batista was never on the level of Undertaker, he does still have a few matches in him that could help get his opponents over. Since The Animal left WWE, guys like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan started rising to the top and took his place. That left some potential big matches for him upon his return. Bryan vs. Batista was one of those. But probably due to six hours of primetime TV to fill every week, we were given the match with very little build up. Then they faced off in a tag match on SmackDown. Good luck trying to get people excited for it the third time around. Batista vs. Bryan has a natural David vs. Goliath story to it. Now, granted, we didn't get a clean finish to the match, but we were given 10 minutes for free. Having a heel Batista and a babyface Bryan at WrestleMania XXX for the title is a much more compelling match than Batista vs. Orton. That's not what WWE thinks, though. We're getting two former Evolution members taking on each other in a match that no one would wish upon their worst enemy. If Bryan does win the title within the next couple months, he's going to need fresh, top-level heels to work with. Batista will probably still be a decent choice for that, but with some more focused, long-term booking it would have been much better for both of their careers.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
